We currently have a vacancy for an accounts team administrator.

This is a permanent, full time position working Monday through to Friday at our Newport office.

Job description

Tasks will include all aspects of admin work. The roles' main duties will be to manage, control and process clients records in a efficient and timely manner. Other duties will include, supporting the accounts team by preparing and organising relevant documentation.

Experience & skills

Previous experience of admin and or office work is preferred but not essential. The candidate must be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Well organised and focused
  • Common sense and the ability to manage a varied workload
  • Good communication skills.

We currently have a vacancy for a semi senior practice accountant.

We are looking for a semi senior accountant to join our team on a full time basis, working Monday through to Friday based at our Newport office. 

We deliver a full spectrum of compliance & advisory services to businesses throughout the UK, including:

  • Preparing, finalising and submitting statutory financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies including, business appraisal and identification of business development opportunities
  • Preparing management accounts and forecasts
  • Preparing tax calculations and associated corporate tax compliance
  • Preparation and control of VAT compliance and preparation
  • Supporting implementation of strategic advice and facilitating client/business growth
  • Audit and Assurance

A broad range of skills will be required to fulfil this role. The successful candidate will be provided with the relevant training to integrate into the HSJ team and culture, however all candidates should be able to demonstrate the following attributes:-

  • ACCA Professional Level student / QBE equally considered
  • 3+ years practice/professional experience
  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of the latest Microsoft Office and knowledge of all main book keeping packages (Xero/Quickbooks/Sage etc.)
  • Ideally, but essential, some knowledge of statutory accounts production packages (Digita or similar)
